1. Does LinkPartners.com immediately swap my link with other websites? -

No - By design, LinkPartners.com does not and can not automatically swap your link with other websites. We believe that all link swaps should be manually initiated and manually approved by both human webmasters in the reciprocal linking process. This manual process ensures that all links swaps are targeted, thoughtful, and fully desired by both webmasters.

LinkPartners.com is not a "program" or "linking scheme." There is nothing to "join." LinkPartners.com is simply a searchable list of quality websites who actively swap links with other sites. The goal of LinkPartners.com is to reduce the time it takes for webmasters to find other quality, related websites to swap links with.

2. How does LinkPartners.com verify the quality of websites listed? -

Each website submitted for inclusion into LinkPartners.com is manually qualified and approved by a staff Editor of the LinkPartners.com team.

Each submitted website is checked for quality. LinkPartners.com will not approve or list websites that we deem to be lacking in quality. The following types of websites are excluded from the LinkPartners.com link swap database:

  • Websites that do not have an existing and/or functioning links page(s) with a method to contact the webmaster or site manager via form or email address to request a link.

  • Websites that promote or utilize software or services designed to deliver unsolicited email (spam)

  • Websites that have or promote "free-for-all" links pages

  • Websites that display hidden text meant to "trick" search engines

  • Websites that have numerous popups (more than 1 is usually too many)

  • Websites that appear to be a "banner farm" or "link farm" with no other unique content

  • Websites that appear to only contain affiliate links

  • Websites containing offensive materials

  • Websites encouraging illegal activity or providing instructions or discussions about performing illegal activities

  • Websites encouraging racism or hate

  • Websites engaged in libelous or harassing activities

  • Websites that lack any real content

Once a website submitted to LinkPartners.com is found to be a quality site, we start the approval process.

LinkPartners.com suggests you swap links with sites related to your own site's genre. We encourage relevant linking and suggest that you link with sites that will interest your own site users. Try to categorize your links in a way that is easy to navigate.

If you think LinkPartners.com would be a good resource for your users, please link to us. Linking information can be located at http://linkpartners.com/getbanners.html.

In addition, websites that are "dead" and inaccessible are removed from LinkPartners.com until they are available online again.

In addition, we give LinkPartners.com users the ability to report links that they feel might be violating these quality guidelines. The LinkPartners Editorial staff manually reviews each reported link.

3. Does LinkPartners.com share my email address or contact information with anyone? -

LinkPartners.com will not publish your email address with your listing.  We do not include your email address in the directory because we do not want your address harvested by spammers.

Your email address is "visible" as the reply-to address when you reply-to email originating from LinksManager users at the time a link swap is requested.  This is no different than receiving an email from another webmaster who has just visited your site and is contacting you directly via your published email address to request a link swap.  You can change your email address associated with your listing anytime by modifying your listing.  You should keep the address that you have listed with your site active so you can receive link requests from sites powered by LinksManager.com.  If you do not wish to receive email from LinkPartners.com or LinksManager users, you can delete your link anytime by logging in and clicking the delete this link checkbox at the bottom of the modify link form.

4. Aren't "link clubs" viewed poorly by the search engines? -

LinkPartners.com is not a link club and is not designed to be a link club. There is nothing to "join" or "subscribe" to. LinkPartners is a simple directory of quality human-reviewed sites that actively swap links with other sites.

LinkPartners.com does not force link swaps into any website. If you are looking for many reciprocal links very quickly, LinkPartners.com cannot help you.

LinkPartners.com is not designed or intended for high volume link swapping. LinkPartners.com was developed as a value added product for LinksManager customers who are looking for quality sites to swap links with. LinksManager and LinkPartners are intentionally designed to disallow high volume reciprocal linking. It is technically impossible to use a LinksManager account to create a "free for all" links page since each link must be manually approved by a human, one link at a time.

LinkPartners.com does not require a reciprocal link from new websites asking for listing. If you believe our site is of value to your website visitors, you may add a link to LinkPartners.com from your website.

Our goal is to provide a product that helps webmasters maintain thoughtful, quality, and unique links pages. Our code of ethics are clearly posted at http://linkpartners.com and http://linksmanager.com

5. Why do you list adult entertainment and gambling sites on LinkPartners.com? -

These types of websites are listed because adult content and gambling are not illegal in most localities. If you do not want to see sites with this content, do not enter those categories which are clearly marked in our directory as "Adult Entertainment" and "Gambling." When you use our search engine to find link partners, adult listings are by default not visible.

6. Does LinkPartners.com list Adult websites? -

Yes - The LinkPartners.com link swap database does contain Adult websites. By default, search results do not contain Adult websites. If you want to include Adult websites in your search results, you must check the checkbox on our search engine that reads "Include Adult Websites in Search Results."

8. Does LinkPartners list sites that are either not indexed by major search engines or whose links pages may not be fully indexed by search engines? -

There are many valid reasons why exchanging links with a non-indexed site may make perfect business sense, but none will satisfy people blindly obsessed with the belief that every element on a website should be graded in terms of search engine optimization (SEO).

Most e-commerce businesspeople, however, recognize that the main purpose of a website is to generate revenue and that anything -- including unindexed site links -- that can drive prospective customers to their site is a Good Thing.

Being unindexed is in no way an indication that a site is unethical or "spammy." There are millions of quality, search engine-complaint sites which for various reasons -- being relatively new, for one -- are unindexed. And there are tens of millions of sites which reek of bad practices and violate every guideline ever published which ARE indexed.

If a quality site has content that might be useful and informative to your end users you might well consider exchanging a link regardless of its index status or Pagerank because it could generate incremental, non-search-engine driven traffic and sales for you.

Always remember this: organically linking to quality, relevant unindexed sites may not benefit your PageRank or search-engine return position the way linking to a site with a Pagerank of eight might, but it won't hurt your Pagerank or returns either. Therefore, the best way to decide whether to accept or not accept such a link is to consider it's possible effect on traffic and sales.
